Greetings!

On behalf of Their Majesties and the populace of An Tir, I bid you welcome! As the Kingdom Chatelaine of An Tir it is my job to welcome newcomers and help them get started in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).

What is the SCA?
The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our “Known World” consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops, and more.

How do I get started?
The best place to get started in the SCA is with your local group. The Kingdom of An Tir encompass the states of Washington, Oregon, and Northern Idaho in the United States, the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, and the Canadian territories of Yukon and the Northwest Territories. If you’re located outside these areas and are interested in the SCA, you can find the Kingdom you’re located in on the main SCA website. To find your local branch in An Tir, please select the closest city or county from the drop down menu. Please note we do not have any active branches in Yukon or the Northwest Territories at this time. If your county or municipality isn’t listed, we do not have an active branch there and you should either select the area nearest to you or contact the Kingdom Chatelaine.
